It is my mission to help you see the future you want and then help you create a strategic path to achieve your goals. I want to create a powerful and supportive alliance to bridge the gaps between vision, strategy, and action.
Coaching leaders is a little like piecing a quilt. Help them create the vision of the outcome. Help them strategically plan the pieces. Help define the action, so they can sew the pieces together. Coaching is the “quilting” that pulls it all together.
My background in a variety of industries, in for-profit businesses and nonprofit organizations make me uniquely qualified to help leaders envision, strategize, and act. This is how I became a Gallup Certified Strength Coach and works so well with my own strengths of achiever, strategic, learner, futuristic, and relator.
I hold a B.S. in Music Education, an MBA, and an Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Organizational Development. My interest in nonprofit boards guided my dissertation and developed expertise in the area of nonprofit boards. I am particularly adept at helping boards make necessary changes.
My husband, Jim, and I have been married 40 years, and have two children, a fantastic son-in-law, and six terrific grandchildren (ages 2 - 15 years).
In my spare time, when I'm not taking courses to improve my coaching ability, I read extensively, play the piano, do calligraphy, and quilt. Quilting and calligraphy bring all the creative bits together. Each of these hobbies directly relate to my strengths of achiever, strategic, learner, futuristic, and relator.
